The Cherry Audio Quadra is an ultra-accurate and extensively upgraded emulation of the ARP Quadra synthesizer, first released in 1978—a rare and sought-after instrument in the synthesizer world, now available for the first time as a virtual instrument. Cherry Audio has addressed the original Quadra’s limitations and expanded its capabilities, resulting in a virtual instrument that exceeds the original in every aspect. Each of its four sections can be independently assigned to any region of the keyboard, allowing for endless splitting and layering options. The awkward patch storage of the original has been replaced with Cherry Audio’s extensive, unlimited patch browsing system. Sound quality has been enhanced for a richer and fatter tone, and the onboard effects have been significantly improved, with the addition of a stereo chorus/flanger, a syncable echo, and studio-quality reverb—all individually routable for unprecedented flexibility.
