DeFilter is a powerful audio processing tool designed to correct tonal imbalances and reduce resonant peaks or dips in the frequency spectrum. It effectively handles severe issues such as comb filter effects or standing waves, even in untreated rooms. The plugin offers the ability to match recordings to various target profiles like music or speech, or alternatively, extract the overall timbre from the source while evening out narrow peaks and dips. This results in the effective removal of resonances and comb filter effects while preserving the tonal character of the input signal. Furthermore, DeFilter allows you to match recordings to a reference recording for consistent tonal quality.

The user interface of DeFilter has been designed with simplicity in mind, offering a straightforward experience. Frequency-dependent correction levels can be defined using custom curves, allowing DeFilter to focus on specific problematic frequency ranges while leaving others untouched. The real-time spectrum analyzers for both input and output signals provide a visual representation of the effect on the frequency spectrum.
