PSP NobleQ combines the features of passive program equalizers with a wide range of frequency settings and extended functionality. Designed to be a versatile tool, it includes modern features such as an adjustable high pass filter and the ability to switch the high peak and shelf filters to “Boost” or “Attenuation” modes. This plugin is known for its warm sound, thanks to its boost and attenuation low-shelf filters and combined peak and shelf high frequency processing.

The warm and musical sound is achieved through the plugin’s finest processing utilizing FAT double sampling for a natural, analog-like response. An output valve-like rounding algorithm with adjustable processing depth further enhances its capabilities.

The low shelf filter comprises two shelving sections: the first allows boosting of low frequencies, while the second attenuates them but is tuned slightly higher. Together, these filters create a rich bottom end without introducing low-midrange muddiness. The high frequency range includes a peaking filter with adjustable bandwidth (usually set to Boost) and a shelf filter (typically set to Attenuate). They interact such that increased attenuation of high frequencies promotes the peaking filter’s selectivity while retaining its center frequency boost.

PSP NobleQex is an extended version of the PSP NobleQ, offering all the features of the original plugin along with an extra middle bell filter and an adjustable low-shelf dip frequency shift.

Key Features:

  • Warm Sound: Stands out for its warm sound, featuring boost and attenuation low-shelf filters.
  • Finest Processing: Utilizes FAT double sampling for natural analog-like response.
  • Output Rounding: Includes an output valve-like rounding algorithm with adjustable processing depth.
  • High Frequency Range: Consists of two filters for versatile high-frequency processing.
