Polyverse Manipulator is a new kind of vocal effects processor, using unique granular algorithms to alter the pitch and timbre of monophonic audio in innovative and unexplored ways. Virtually Endless Manipulation: Manipulator is equipped with 10 distinct effects, including pitch shifter, formant shifter, harmonic shifter, sound smearing, granular alternator, pseudo stereo, and more. These tools allow you to take a standard vocal recording and transform it into an entirely new, complex soundscape. Manipulator excels with vocals, but it also works exceptionally well with other monophonic and rhythmic sources.

Alter Pitch in Real Time: Like Polyverse’s I Wish, Manipulator supports real-time MIDI input, enabling dynamic pitch control directly through a MIDI controller. Didn’t like the vocal melody in a take? You can play it the way you want with Manipulator, which transposes pitch seamlessly while adding unique textures to the audio. With support for up to 4 polyphonic voices when using MIDI, you can also create harmonies and layer sounds effortlessly.

Infected Mushroom’s “Vocoder on Steroids”: Developed in collaboration with iconic electronic duo Infected Mushroom, Manipulator incorporates many of their signature vocal processing techniques. The plugin evolved through an “artistic feedback” process, where Infected Mushroom tested multiple prototypes for album production and live performances. This close collaboration resulted in the ultimate voice transformer that producers can now use to achieve similar effects.
