TH-U Made In Rock Jim P is a plugin based on the unique and finest emulation of the JMP50* head with serial no. 4073D, and its matched cabinet, which belonged to Led Zeppelin*. This amp is part of the Made In Rock private collection, which has been expanded over the last 20 years by collecting amplifiers, effects, guitars, and other items from the stages of renowned artists like White Snake, Noel Gallagher, and Judas Priest.

Key Features:

  • The Made-In-Rock Jim P amplifier model: Based on the JMP50* head with serial no. 4073D.
  • The matched cabinet model: The red 4×12″ cabinet with Celestion* T1511 speakers.
  • A bank of presets: Sounds of the most famous songs played with the amp.
  • Models created with Fluid Capturing: The new frontier of emulation in 2024.
  • 15 additional models: Includes overdrives, modulation, and reverbs.

Every tonal and emotional detail is captured. The TH-U Jim P head has two input channels. Channel 1 is brighter and crunchier, while Channel 2 is richer in low frequencies and a bit more fuzzy. Inputs 1 and 2 can be connected with a jumper to mix both channels, allowing infinite tone combinations. The front panel features replicated red marks where Jimmy’s engineer used to set the knobs.

The matched cabinet, the red 4×12″ with Celestion* T1511 speakers, enhances the crunchy tone of the head. It has been captured with 18 microphones using high-resolution nonlinear IRs. Overloud Fluid Convolution allows you to place up to 4 microphones in the 3D space around the cab and blend them with custom IRs. The ReSPiRe option adds the feeling of standing near the cabinet.

This product is both a TH-U expansion pack and a standalone plugin, meaning it can expand the model list of an existing TH-U installation or be purchased as a self-contained pack with all TH-U editing features, including the Rig Player, Amp Tweaks, Tuner, and Looper, without requiring a pre-existing TH-U license.

The reference amplifier comes from Swansong Productions, the label created by Led Zeppelin, as documented by their manager Peter Grant. The head is dated 1972 with serial number 4073D, a 50-watt head despite some claims of Jimmy Page using 100-watt amplifiers. The head came with the red 4×12 cabinet, dated 1971, and equipped with Celestion* T1511 speakers.

Made-In-Rock is an organization managing a vast collection of rock history items, including musical instruments, amplifiers, cabinets, effects, clothing, and stage items owned by legendary artists. The purpose is to preserve these items and educate younger generations. Overloud’s Fluid Capturing technology, being the most advanced capturing technology to date, is perfect for this preservation task, capturing and replicating every tonal and emotional detail of each amp.
