GainAim is a versatile gain and vocal rider plugin that leverages a new algorithm to automatically adjust the loudness of your incoming track, ensuring natural results. The plugin features five different modes that determine the adaptation speed, making it suitable for various mixing and mastering scenarios. With its intuitive interface, GainAim simplifies the process of achieving the perfect signal level, whether you’re working on vocals, instruments, or full mixes.
Key Features:
- Target Loudness: Set your desired loudness in dBfs. GainAim automatically detects the incoming signal’s dBfs and adjusts it to match your target, with adaptation speed depending on the selected mode.
- Noisefloor: Exclude audio below a specific threshold from the loudness calculation, ensuring that only the relevant parts of your signal are considered.
- Channel Link: Control the amount of stereo linking applied to the trigger signal, allowing you to maintain the stereo balance while making gain adjustments.
- Squash Mode: Pushes your signal to the target loudness as quickly as possible.
- Fast Mode: A slower alternative to Squash mode, helping to avoid the “louder = better” pitfall when browsing presets.
- Rider Mode: The classic vocal rider mode, balancing speed and precision to avoid a compressed or expanded sound.
- Leveler Mode: Ideal for mixing and gain matching, this mode is even slower than Rider mode, ensuring dynamic integrity while preventing the “louder = better” effect.
- Locked Mode: Allows you to lock in your current gain adjustment, maintaining consistent levels throughout your session.
