The Sonoris Multiband Compressor (SMBC) is a highly flexible and ultra-clean three-band compressor, ideal for mastering and handling delicate material where precision is key. Each of the three independent frequency bands has its own dedicated compressor, based on the renowned Sonoris Mastering Compressor, ensuring precise and transparent compression. The bands are separated using carefully designed Linkwitz-Riley crossover filters that avoid phase cancellation issues, offering a natural, analog-like quality. Alternatively, the crossover filters can be set to linear phase mode, preserving the waveform while introducing minimal latency for situations where transparency is critical.

This compressor allows you to target specific areas of a mix by processing each band independently on the Left, Right, Mid, or Side channels, or any combination in between with the adjustable variable link feature. Whether you need to tame bass in the Mid channel, reduce a harsh snare hit in the Left channel, or control high-end sibilance, the SMBC offers exceptional control without affecting the integrity of the entire mix. Each band also includes solo modes, making it easier to monitor and adjust specific frequency ranges.
