The XILS 4 is an emulation of the EMS VCS4, a prototype synthesizer that was never released. It combines two complex and highly interactive VCS 3 (Synthi) cores along with the renowned 256 analog Poly-sequencer. This gives users access to deep analog modular synthesis with more than 1140 possible connections per patch, offering immense creative control.
The XILS 4 includes a second Pin Matrix with numerous additional modules such as Envelopes, LFOs, Sample & Hold, Voltage Processor, Pitch Tracker, and Transient, providing endless routing possibilities. Users can connect Oscillators, Filters, Ring Modulators, Spring Reverb, and more, all at audio rate. The 256-step Poly-sequencer is tightly integrated with the synthesis engine for unparalleled sequencing power.
Additionally, the plugin features a suite of effects including analog Chorus, Delay, Phaser, and a Spring Reverb. Each connection point has its own customizable amount, giving those passionate about Analog Modular Synthesis endless possibilities to explore.
