SWAM Violin is an instrument based on physical modeling, allowing control over main mechanical variables in real time. For example, velocity controls the attack of the sound and portamento time, especially during legato playing. The Mod. Wheel can control the vibrato, and any foot pedal can be assigned to expression, providing limitless combinations.
With SWAM Violin, you can start playing for real with the smallest footprint, eliminating the need for Giga-sized pre-recorded libraries. This digitally handcrafted instrument leverages our proprietary SWAM-S engine, a powerful Physical Modeling technology derived from the Digital Waveguides approach.
Key Features:
- Powerful MIDI Mapping: Supports CC, Hi-Res CC, After-Touch NRPN, and remapping curves for enhanced customization and sensitivity.
- Realistic Legatos: Provides smooth and natural transitions between notes.
- New Pizzicato Model: Offers improved sound and behavior for bowed strings.
- Timbral Correction: Allows selection of up to two harmonics for adjustment (emphasis or reduction).
- Standalone Version and VST3 Plug-in Format: Now includes Native Instruments NKS compatibility.
- Real-time Bow Sensitivity Control: Adjust bowing mode from short, soft strokes to full-length, strong strokes.
