Elysium Harp

The Elysium Harp is a meticulously deep-sampled 47-string Grand Concert Pedal Harp, offering a truly intimate and realistic sound. Designed for the free Kontakt Player and Komplete Kontrol platform, this library may be the largest concert harp collection available, with carefully balanced microphone placement to capture an extraordinary sound.

We recorded standard Finger Plucks with 6 dynamic layers and 8 round-robin variations per velocity, Fingernail Plucks for a sharper quality, Harmonics with full round-robin, Xylophonics (piano and forte), and unique Bass Buzzes created by shifting the pedals. These special articulations, usually heard as accents in conventional harp pieces, are captured in full detail for creative exploration in modern compositions.

The complexity of a real harp’s pedal system is mirrored in our intuitive interface, providing flexibility and control to all users. Our fluid Gliss generator allows easy creation of realistic glisses in real-time, while the Pedal system offers 74 common harp tuning presets and 12 key-switch memory slots for instant recall.

Additionally, we recorded 194 unique Glisses performed by concert harpist Jennifer Ellis, covering a wide variety of scales, styles, speeds, and dynamics. The library also includes 3 Stereo Microphone Positions, each capturing distinctive tonal flavors that can be personalized with our full suite of performance controls.

We extended the instrument’s capabilities with sound-designed ambient pads and otherworldly effect instruments, providing a complete sound palette. Every preset is equipped with a modular FX rack, including 18 of Kontakt’s built-in DSP effects, allowing limitless customization and creative possibilities.
