The Riq Drum library is a comprehensive collection of Middle Eastern hand percussion instruments, focusing on the traditional family of open shell frame drums with large cymbals or jingles. These drums, resembling large tambourines, often take lead or solo roles in various music genres. The library includes a 15-inch daf drum from Greece, a 13-inch riq drum from Egypt, and a toy frame drum modified into a miniature riq with egg-shakers. Additionally, the library features atmospheric and ambient sustaining instruments, created through extensive manipulation of the source recordings, with multi-layer morphing, performance shaping, and FX chaining options.
