The Street Bukit is a deep collection of classic DIY (“Do-It-Yourself”) drum kit sounds found in urban street performers' kits. Common in cities worldwide, street drummers use various buckets, pots, and pans as drums. They play with different sticks, brushes, mallets, and hands, producing unique lo-fi “bass drum” sounds with specialized techniques. Despite the raw concept, skilled drummers deliver complex rhythms and cadences from various music genres.
This library features 5 different buckets and 5 pots/pans recorded in three urban environments: city street corner, open garage, and a small apartment bedroom. It includes a comprehensive FX Rack panel with multi-effects, compression, EQ, amp/speaker simulation, and convolution reverb, offering custom recorded rooms, halls, and other impulses. A selection of real-world ambiences from urban settings enhances the immersive experience. Additionally, custom atmospheres, drones, melodic pads, and soundscapes derived from the raw bucket drum recordings provide diverse textures and accompaniment options.
The powerful custom interface offers full control over the sound, making it easy to play right out of the bucket. Load one of the three main Ensembles (Street, Garage, Bedroom) for instant access, or use the Solo presets to create your own tuned percussion blends. The Megamixer system lets you build a custom 8-piece DIY kit for live play with a keyboard or drum MIDI controller. The FX Rack system provides an intuitive interface with a wide range of effects, including Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Dynamics, Drive (with 4 effects), 2 amp sims, 8 cabs, EQ, Filter, tempo-synced Delay, and convolution Reverb with custom impulses.
