Winterbells

Winterbells is a deeply sampled festive collection of concert sleighbells, jingle bells, bell hoops, horse reins, logging wagon bells, bell strips, and ropes in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, from tiny to huge and everywhere in between. The logging bells are cast bronze bells in various pitches that were mounted to a steel rail on logging wagons and trucks in the late 1800s. Their brash tone served to warn travelers of the approaching wagons on the winding mountain roads in the days before electric horns. The softball-sized giant rope bells are clustered on joined rope braids so they strike against each other when shaken, and have a low, dark, dull percussive tone. The Bell strip has a distinct horse bridle bell sound which works great for tuned percussion. The bell hoop has a tambourine-like quality, while the star bells have a crisp, thin, high-pitched washy tone - and that's just the beginning!

We captured multiple dynamic layers and round robins of all the instruments in a dry studio environment, then performed loops to bring tempo-synced realism to your holiday season. After that, we expanded these natural metallic shimmering timbres with 20 ambient organic soundscapes and 20 custom FX presets to kickstart your snowy sleigh ride.

For this Sleighbells 3.0 upgrade, we remastered the old samples and inserted them into our efficient four-layer modular template, then recorded thousands of fresh hits, spins, shakes, slaps, sustains, and FX using new instruments and techniques. Winterbells delivers the gift of over 5 GB of inspired bell samples, and it’s ready to bring authentic jingle to your next composition.

The Kontakt interface includes a suite of automation-ready sound-shaping controls to give you total creative flexibility. You have control over swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, pitch (coarse & fine), articulation switching, cross-fading and layering, and so much more. We've also included 20 unique sound-designed custom FX presets to give you lots of creative options.

This library comes with an adaptable LFO system, with selectable LFO shape, modulation target parameter, speed, intensity, tempo-syncing, and fade-in time. You can also apply your choice of 12 low-pass, high-pass, and FX filters, with assignable modulation targets such as velocity, modwheel, expression, after-touch, key position, and step-sequencer table control. Our customizable arpeggiator offers a velocity table and control over arp direction, timing, swing, randomization, and duration. We’ve included a key and scale lock system to constrain your notes to common scales and keys for easy melodic composition and live performance.
