Blue Cat’s PatchWork is a versatile virtual patchbay that allows you to host up to 64 VST, VST3, Audio Unit, or built-in plug-ins within a single instance of your DAW, offering both serial and parallel routing options. With the ability to create up to 8 parallel chains, you can easily design complex effects and instrument setups that can be saved as presets and recalled instantly across different DAWs.

The flexible routing system eliminates the need for multiple busses, allowing you to manage plug-ins with ease. Configuring your effects chains is intuitive—no need for complicated wiring or connections, simply add or remove rows and columns in the rack’s matrix. Blue Cat’s PatchWork also offers virtual MIDI ports for communication between plug-ins and the host application.

Each plug-in slot includes latency compensation, presets management, undo/redo, audio I/O selection, and bypass capabilities for smooth operation. The positions of plug-in windows are saved and restored automatically with your session. Sub plug-ins can be controlled externally via MIDI mapping, and the entire setup is available as either a plug-in or a standalone application, supporting up to 16 audio channels.

Additionally, input/output level meters provide real-time monitoring of your signal chain, while Blue Cat’s standards of CPU efficiency, customizable UI, and smooth bypass ensure optimal performance during use.
