Discover the Jensen Vintage Ceramic C12K2 Large Cabs, an extensive IR library that systematically captures the Jensen Vintage Ceramic C12K2 speaker from the Vintage Series. The library includes captures from three different enclosures: a 2×12″ Open Back cabinet, a 2×12″ Closed Back cabinet, and a 4×12″ Closed Back cabinet, totaling 912 IRs. Developed in collaboration with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, this library delivers the most authentic playing experience, recreating the original speaker’s sound.
The C12K2 is an advancement over the C12K, featuring a different cone membrane that provides an extended treble response for enhanced detail and shimmer, while maintaining a smooth, well-contoured tone. Suitable for both clean and mid-gain crunch tones, the C12K2 responds excellently to player touch. When used with higher gain tones, it offers a powerful, rounded, and organic tone that delivers full-bodied thickness to single-note lead runs. Overloud has captured the C12K2 using a refined selection of compact and large cabinets, employing their signature 19 microphones / 16 position process.

Each microphone was positioned in four different horizontal locations (Cap, Cap Edge, Cone, and Cone Edge), at two distances and two angles, resulting in 16 IRs per microphone. This setup was repeated for each cabinet in the library. All IRs have been phase-aligned to ensure they can be blended without phase cancellations.
